GOAT Clan Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This policy explains how GOAT Clan, operated by Steinmetz Family Farms, handles information for its community website at GOAT Clan. It covers the clan roster, music and video features, and the site owner's YouTube connection. It does not replace the separate privacy policy for purchases from the Steinmetz Family Farm online store.
Community registration and public information
The registration form asks for a snake name and membership type. You can also provide a first name or nickname and a YouTube channel. The information you choose to submit, including your linked YouTube profile picture, can appear in the public member roster. Use a nickname if you do not want to display your real name. Do not submit email addresses, passwords, or other private information in public registration fields.
We use registration information to maintain the clan roster and display member profiles. Public roster information can be viewed and copied by other visitors.
Music, videos, and YouTube data
GOAT Clan uses YouTube API Services and embedded YouTube players to show channel information, profile images, livestreams, and highlights. Music plays and download clicks contribute to the site's music counters. Individual counting records include a track identifier, randomly generated event identifiers, and a timestamp; the public counters show totals by track.
The site owner's separate Google authorization allows the site to obtain YouTube channel and video information and available caption transcripts for the connected channel. This connection supports transcript retrieval, caching, review, and preparation of highlights for the clan website. Community registration does not require visitors to connect their Google account.
When the owner requests AI-assisted transcript review, transcript text and timestamps may be processed with OpenAI's ChatGPT to help select highlights and prepare descriptions. Selected highlight information and embedded video excerpts may be published on the website. This is separate from displaying a visitor's member profile.
Browser storage and abuse prevention
Your browser can store registration details, including the removal code that lets you remove your entry. Treat that code as private. Clearing browser storage can remove your saved removal details.
To limit abusive signups, the application uses a daily, keyed hash derived from your IP address rather than storing the raw IP address in its signup database. Hosting and embedded-service providers may separately process network information.
The owner-only Google connection uses a short-lived authorization cookie and state information that expire after 10 minutes. This helps connect the authorization response to the correct session.
Storage and service providers
The site uses OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare hosting, database, and file-storage infrastructure to serve the website and store its operational records. Google and YouTube process information when their services and embedded content are used. The site also loads Google-hosted fonts and YouTube profile images. This policy page is hosted by Shopify.
Embedded services can receive information about your browser and device, including your IP address, and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. YouTube may receive information when an embedded player loads, not only when you press play. See the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.
Retention
Roster entries remain stored until removed through the registration removal feature or by a site administrator. The application stores a hash of the removal code rather than the code itself in its member database. Earlier daily signup-limit records are cleaned up on a subsequent successful signup. Individual music-counting records older than 30 days are periodically cleaned up when new events arrive; aggregate track counts remain stored. YouTube profile-image lookup results are cached for up to 24 hours.
The owner's Google connection stores authorization credentials for continued access to the connected channel. Cached transcripts expire after 30 days and are no longer used after that point. Expired transcript files are removed when the next owner transcript request or review triggers cleanup, rather than at a guaranteed time while the site is idle. Disconnecting the Google connection removes the stored transcript cache, connection record, and pending authorization state. Contact us to request removal of stored channel information or transcripts.
Your choices and requests
Use the "Manage/remove my registration" option on GOAT Clan for your registration. You can also contact us at steinmetzfamilyfarms@gmail.com to ask about your information or request correction or deletion. Include enough information to identify the relevant registration or connected channel, but do not send passwords or access tokens.
If you authorized the site's Google connection, you can revoke access through Google account permissions. Revoking access through Google stops future authorized access; it is not the same as using the site's disconnect control to remove its stored transcript cache. Use the site's disconnect control or contact us about stored information or published highlights. Removing information from GOAT Clan does not remove the original information from YouTube; use YouTube to manage information held there.
